This is very cool just in thought process and even better in my mouth!!!
They took a traditional Italian dish and adapted it with Puerto Rican ingredients.
They replaced the traditional fennel and liver stuffing for #arrozcongandules –
Arroz con Gandules is very tradicional in Puerto Rican cuisine, often served for special occasions. It’s a seasoned rice with pigeon peas and ham.
Now put it together in your mind… Italian comfort and Puerto Rican comfort all in one dish… EPIC!!!
The crunchy exterior crackling was UNREAL!
I can’t really vouch for this restaurant’s menu, because I haven’t really tried it.
But I can sure vouch for this dish. AMAZING!!!
If anything they should just keep on eye on the amount of salt in the dish. The pork was seasoned perfectly and the rice as well, but together it was borderline.
