This restaurant made me think of Louis Armstrongs song; What a Wonderful World.
I don’t think my feeling will explain the theme or the flavor of the food, but it should definitely give you a good idea of the vibes and the energy.
It sincerely felt like everyone in the restaurant had a big heart for food and for people.
Although you can walk in and order a la cart, I reserved a tasting experience. Once I prepaid 2 weeks before, I started to get more and more excited about this dinner date. I was a little worried, because I didn’t want my expectations to work against me or my first impression of the restaurant.
I’m guilty of being quite infantile, when it comes to control my excitement with potential good restaurants. I say this, because I want it to be clear, I walked in with very high hopes and I’m glad to report my expectations were exceeded.
Even though, I have distinct favorite dishes, like the Lion’s Mane Mushroom dish and the Vegetarian Chop Suey, I have to admit, there’s nothing that I would change or suggest to improve on the menu.
Everything was deliciously beautiful and the progression from dish to dish was smooth and well thought.
I particularly, enjoyed that I wasn’t lethargic at the end of the meal and I also enjoyed the lightness of the dessert course, which is the one that normally makes you comatose.
I went with the wine pairing, and it was the best decision I’ve made this year. The som was very friendly and knowledgeable and he made the wine pairing as interesting as the food being served.
I saw stars. That’s Plural!
