This sandwich is on another level!
I’m not only talking about the final product, but the thought process behind it… at a first glance, it looks like a hotdog with mustard and I liked how deceiving it is.
It’s actually an octopus tentacle replacing the weenier and they cooked it to the perfect consistency for this presentation, because there’s no resistance to the bite.
The mustard looking sauce, is actually #huancaina sauce. A traditional Peruvian sauce served with potatoes and seafood.
The sauce worked perfectly. It was creamy, a little spicy with a touch of sweetness.
The crunchy, cheesy tortilla chip crumble added extra texture and playfulness.
The brioche bun was also a nice touch.
