It’s hard to tell from a glance, but everything in this bowl is 100% plant based.
I had the opportunity to try the food from the people behind this restaurant, when they were in their infancy doing pop ups. You can clearly see the evolution. The food is outstanding!
They are undoubtedly masters of their craft.
I was so excited when I saw the food, I literally wanted everything.
I got the pulled pork, which is made out of jackfruit. The appearance was the most impressive… it really looked like “pernil” and it was actually seconded by the right flavor to match the looks.
The fried chicken or “chicharrón de pollo” was my favorite. Most #vegan chicken lacks the right texture and flavor. This chicken was on point!
My fat ass wants a bucket of it!
I chose yellow rice for my base and it was bland. I wouldn’t really eat it on its own, but the beans, the sauces, the meats and the toppings were so flavorful it made up for it. Don’t get me wrong, I understand the idea of a blank canvas, but I’m a Latino at heart and I can’t have anyone slipping with their rice.
This is a delicious and healthy option for lunch or dinner that will make your body, conscience and soul feel better.
