This sandwich is one of my favorites. If I see it at a restaurant, I am ordering it.
It’s a simple dish in theory, but very easy to mess up. If one competent isn’t working it messes up the whole thing.
It’s traditionally not made with puff pastry, but this was made so perfectly, it almost made me feel like it should have always been this way.
This dish is normally eaten with knife and fork and I loved how they made it portable. I rather eat with my hands, and it was built so well I didn’t even dirty my hands, and it had a perfect runny yolk.
WELL DONE!!!
FYI: they close at 3pm, I’m telling you cause I’ve made the mistake of leaving it for the last minute. These baked goods demand priority!
