I love when I find a well composed and thoughtful #plantbased dish at steakhouse.
I showed up expecting to eat several sides and/or a pasta and this was an incredible surprise.
The portobello mushroom wasn’t very creative, but it was cooked perfectly on the Josper Grill.
The #belugalentils were the star for me. They had amazing texture and earthy flavor. The combination of the naturally sweet carrot purée combined with the briny #chimichurri tied everything together and brought it home.
Although priced like steak at $29, I would come back and eat it again in a heartbeat.
I recently decided not to eat any animals, but I’m pretty open to eat everything else. With that being said, my mentality, when going to a #steakhouse is “I hope I can find something good to eat”, and when I actually do find something that was actually intended for me, it makes me feel like the world is a better place.
Most would say, “why do you go?, why don’t you just go to vegetarian/vegan restaurant?”
MY ANSWER: We should all be able to sit at the same table!
It’s not about who is right or wrong, who is better or worse, who is stupid or smart… it’s about RESPECTING each other.
Breaking bread together is essential!!! if we can’t eat together… we won’t be able to do anything together…
