FINALLY!!! A Colombian restaurant, I actually like in Orlando!
Why is it different?
They are keeping to their roots, while adapting to their environment and evolving. When things stay the same, it’s not good… this is hard for Colombian culture but essential for progress!
The other thing separating them from the pack is the quality of their ingredients… from the grade of the steak to the providence of the cooking oil. This is very big for me, especially if it’s a restaurant I plan on frequenting.
This #patacon or #toston platter was one of my favorites. It was a simple dish, but done right. I loved how interactive it was, allowing you to create a different bite in every attempt. The steak was cooked and seasoned well and the sauces are on another level. The signature house cilantro aioli has a velvety texture that would even be hard for me to recreate. BUT the house-made #hogao was my absolute favorite. I would eat it straight with a spoon!
Once in my mind as a place to get food after drinks in downtown, is now a hip, family restaurant opening from 11am to 9pm daily.
If you haven’t, check them out!!!
