Everyone that has octopus on their menu is usually proud of it. You’ll find that most servers will recommend it as a starter. For this same reason, unless I’m dining alone, I tend to get it.
It’s a very hard ingredient and there is so many ways it can go wrong. For this, it is always a hit or miss…
I’m happy to report this was an absolute hit! It was cooked and grilled perfectly. Apart from that, it was actually flavorful without being overwhelming.
I loved how it was served in a cast iron skillet with fried potatoes that got to be infused with the drippings of the octopus.
The chimichurri on the side was also a nice touch. Great dish and for a fraction, I usually pay in more upscale places and better!
One of my favorite Peruvian spots in town!!!
