For the record, the first time I tried #roticanai I had this idea myself. I thought, a sandwich with this bread as the vehicle… SAVAGE! Needless to say, I’m glad someone did it.
The more appropriate term in this case would be #paratha the Indian version of the Malaysian roti canai and/or the Chinese scallion pancake. In essence they are the same bread, they just have slight differences even though they are used in the same way in all the cultures. It’s mainly a side item.
“MYTHOLOGY: once upon a time before there was night and day… a flatbread fell in love with a croissant. Their love was forbidden, but it bared fruit. Their love child went to different lands seeking exile and took many names. After centuries on the run, everyone wants a piece of him now!”
This restaurant is making sure it’s playing a leading role and it’s front and center in every roll. You can choose from a variety of fillings with the option of adding an egg. I went with the Tandoori Veggie plus #paneer and egg. I love that the concept is as good as the food. I’m definitely coming back for more…
I like the way they ROLL!!!
