I wasn’t in the mood for Pho, so I went with my GO-TO Vietnamese sandwich.
I rarely find a vegetarian version of it, which makes them earn instant points in my book.
Normally, there’s pâté, roast pork and a variety of cold cuts. Needless to say, my tofu lacked that umami.
Although it was deep fried it was kind of bland and they missed an opportunity to inject flavor to the mix by marinating the tofu or tossing it in sauce after the fry.
The flavor was subtle, but it worked as it made room to make it all about the bread…
MONEY!!!
I want to buy it by the bag for home! It was pretty perfect!
Not your traditional baguette… it was like a cloud covered with thin crunchy shell…
Poems will be made after this bread!
Ok, I’m done with my review. Now I have to come back for some soup and see what’s up.
