The cheese was the best and only great part of the dish and it was a special request on my end.
I thank the server for making it happen, because they aren’t that welcoming to off menu stuff, which I understand, when it comes to concept and branding.
At first I thought the rice was undercooked, but it wasn’t… it was just cooked unevenly. They were grains that were done well and some that hadn’t cooked all the way through.
I like for the veggies in a fried rice to have a bite or for them to be al dente, but these were cut too course. Especially the carrots made feel like I was a rabbit and at times I almost wanted to ask for a side of ranch so I could dip them.
Visually, the food looks amazing, but when it comes down to it, it’s not that great!
This is my 5th time here and I really want to like it, but the food never convinces me.
I do want to report, our table of 10+ people was predominantly happy. A few people barely ate and some can’t wait to come back.
The tab was almost $800. I do think, most of the happy people wouldn’t have been as happy, if they had covered the cost. It was a company luncheon and someone else picked up the tab.
