You should draw your own conclusions by the picture, but allow me elaborate…
If it was an excess of #achiote it wouldn’t have been that bad. It would have been just very colorful, but it was an excess of some sort of packaged condiment and it was pungent, almost radioactive.
I, honestly looked at it and got a bit of acid reflux. I decided to be objective, and I took the rice home and didn’t say anything. Everyone in my house looked at the rice and turned their nose. Even some friends that came over attempted to eat it and couldn’t.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t an isolated event with the dish, I ate the rice and beans and had indigestion for a solid 12 hrs and my stomach can take almost anything.
I wasn’t the only one that got a stomachache… there were more at home complaining.
It’s sad to see a restaurant that was once very good, even the only good place to get Colombian food turned into this.
You can clearly see they are making bank, I wish they used that blessing to provide a better quality.
It’s still a cool place to hang and have a drink, if you like the Latin/Colombian vibe. I would be back for that in a heartbeat.
Oh, the garlic sauce is FIRE!
