This place is a GEM!
I found my go-to for feel good vegetarian food. They have non-vegetarian items as well, but veggies are predominant.
It’s located on the sketchier side of OBT, but it’s like an Oasis in the middle of pawn shops, strip clubs and beat up car dealerships.
The restaurant and the food are very comforting, inviting and chic!
I’m not a big fan of long menus and they have quite a few options to choose from. My server was very eager to help me navigate the menu and understand each item. I’m a seasoned eater and cook and I still find it challenging to make a decision, when there are so many things I haven’t tried.
My advise is to talk to the server and discuss the flavors you like and have him suggest some menu items that could be suitable to your palate.
You could be pleasantly surprised and even find a new favorite!
Like dosa! A XL rice crepe usually stuffed with potatoes and curry leaves.
I went with the more traditional dosa, served with spicy vegetable soup and coconut chutney. I found the pairing to be quite perfect.
You take a bite of the dosa with the soup and it lights up your mouth and then you follow it with a bite with some chutney and it cools your mouth down.
This is my favorite kind of roller coaster… the one that happens in your mouth, but engages your whole body and senses.
If you like food, this spot should be on your list! This could be my favorite Indian restaurant in town right now.
