Very simple to explain: imagine a fully loaded burger, but instead of bread, it’s an AREPA.
What’s an arepa?
It’s a patty made from parboiled corn meal. ( #promasa #arepaharina #arinapan)This is a product that is centric in Venezuelan and Colombian cuisine.
Although amazing, I would prefer the burger meat to be just meat and not a meatloaf style patty.
This is customary in the cuisine, but I’m just speaking from a purely culinary perspective.
Believe me, most people wouldn’t notice this detail, but I feel it would be an improvement, and you could even determine the doneness of the beef… medium-rare, medium, etc.
