Our first stop after we landed in SFO and it was quite magical.
Brunch at a French inspired eatery at the entrance of an open marina in the bay of Sausalito.
When I thought it couldn’t get any better, I found this crispy #panisse on the menu.
I discovered panisse or #socca or #farinata in the southern coast of Nice, France and I fell in love with it.
This version made honor to that memory. It was crispy outside and velvety inside. It was served with #harissa aioli, which was quite good, but the panisse was so good it wasn’t even necessary. (PANISSE is a meal made from chickpeas that is then cooked, baked or fried)
My only complaint is that I asked for some toasted bread with butter and #fleurdesel and I was brought warm bread with cold chunks of butter and restaurant quality panckages of salt.
I expected more from a @michelinguide recommend spot. I honestly feel it was more of an attitude issue from the staff in general. We got it from the host as well.
I expected more warmth from this city. So far, the customer service hasn’t been great in general.
