I would have liked them a lot more if they hadn’t been marketed as the best!
I can definitely appreciate the confidence in the product. It’s the right attitude to have in this business, but it sets the expectations to high; especially for someone that knows the food item very well.
With that being said, I enjoyed eating them. No doubt, it tasted like home. I was mentally transported to a corner street bakery in my hometown.
These are crunchy puff pastry sheets, layered with a Latin version of #chantillycream and covered with #arequipe or confectionery sugar. Each region has different variations and each bakery has its own flavors as well.
Personally, I want my #milhojas to be very crunchy to the bite. These had some crunch, but the moisture from the other ingredients and the refrigerator had already set in.
