On paper based on the ingredients and the description it sounds fantastic… the reality is different.
It was kind of flat and it felt like a lump on a lump. Also, the texture of the whole grain bread didn’t help. The bread itself is very good, but not the right choice for the dish.
I really wanted to like this, but it felt like they had gotten guacamole and lump crab meat from the super market, toasted some bread and through everything on top…
It’s not surprising, everyone wants to serve avocado toast, and they don’t give it the importance. If done right, it’s actually pretty majestic!
With that being said, I’ve always had a positive experience with the restaurant and they usually serve a good breakfast.
