There’s mixed feelings in Florida regarding the newly announced Michelin rating. It is only obvious that most of the backlash is coming from the chefs and restaurants that weren’t awarded nor mentioned. Some of the negativity is also coming from the food writers and self proclaimed food critics like myself that feel threatened by their weakened influence.
I, for one would have never known of this small Mexican restaurant in Coconut Grove, if it hadn’t been for @michelinguide and I feel a better person for being able to experience this restaurant, the food and the people behind it.
I have traveled the world eating at Michelin rated restaurants and I usually have mixed feelings about the food and how it was awarded…
My feelings are clear about this restaurant. They deserve all the accolades and they have a special place in my heart and stomach.
I see myself finding excuses to travel south, just so I can come back for more of this, especially that Salsa Macha.
It was so good, I asked for a side and spooned it without and intermediary… SAVAGE!!!
