I had this restaurant on my list for a while, due to my peers’ high regard. I finally made it for a post birthday dinner and although delicious nothing was really WOW, until the dessert course.
When I visit a restaurant of this caliber, I want to have at least one “holy shit” moment, and although all the savory food was well executed, this didn’t really happened till I spooned the tiramisu. What made it even better was the consistent “holy shit” moment for all the other 5 people at my table as they tried it.
Ravello and the Amalfi Coast are known for their unique lemons and Venice is actually the birth place of Tiramisu… there were no lemon forward dishes or desserts on the menu, so maybe a name change???
Regardless of the disconnect in the food vs concept, make sure to visit soon. Have some fresh pasta and get your tastebuds ready for sweet coffee magic!!!
