If you haven’t tried Detroit style, you are missing out.
It’s almost like an American style Sicilian. It’s made in a pan covered with fat, where the dough raises.
My favorite part is how the crust fuses with the cheese at the edges of the pan creating the most satisfying crunch.
The bottom is almost like a focaccia and the center is gummy and pillowy.
When it comes to pizza, I don’t have a preference. I am not a purest and I enjoy every variety, but this one has to be one of my favorites…
It just makes me happy!
PRO MOVE: Add ricotta and hot honey to any of your pies and make it extra special.
